How might we

Connect world travelers and help share their stories?

As curious explorers we want to hear about great adventures, with this in mind I crafted an experience to fill that need. The following App concept allows explorers to curate their special experiences while engaging with a community of daring vagabonds.
Inspired by a personal experience
"After years of exploring distant parts of the world I realized I didn't have a platform to capture, share, and document tactical details of uncharted experiences. I noticed this feeling was mutual among others, so I went to the drawing board, here is my creation."

Our Approach

1
Discovery

During our discovery we shadowed, distributed questionnaires, interviews, and discussion groups. The union of travel became a beacon in which many people I met would bond over, further validating my hypothesis.

Synthesis

Through filtering and grouping key insights surfaced. Through this consolidation I was able to define priority experiences which were later compared against market research.

Market Research

Several apps such as 'Trip Adviser', 'Instagram', 'Facebook', and 'Atlas Obscura" enable users to document surface level details. However, none provide the utility to measure the rigor, grit, stamina, and difficulty or adventure travel.

Inspiration

We're inspired by travelers unable to recruit friends with similar physical abilities. Many travelers fear relying on others, however this wall is removed once a noval right of passage is overcome.

My Role

Project Lead / Operations + Design

As the project lead, I guided our distributed team through the 'Human Centered Design' process. While teaching IDEO's design process we decided to solve a problem that was dear to us all.
